Roses and Throns.

a rose and a thron. two things that never grow apart.
the rose so beautiful, and so delicate.
and the Thron so sharp, and so harmful.
you can't have one without getting the other,
just like a person.

we look at people, and wee see features, we see professions, we see back stories.
we see first wrong impressions, we see what we want.

we don't see beyond our noses, or beyond the stories we hear.
we don't listen to more than a few words before we think it's enough to judge a person.

People are magnificent creatures. God crated us perfect, nevertheless we can't actually see it-or we don't want to see it- we don't want to see more than our imperfections.
we are able to swim although we don't have gills, that we can fly, although we don't have wings. and that we can imagine, build futures and stories and weave art and make magic.
and dream. we're capable of lots of things.
human power is unlimited. that nothing could stop a free spirit or a steel will.

we can be unfair to each other, it's painful to watch, how we're so consumed in materials, in money, that we build blocks and walls that would imprison us in our own limbs.

we have no one to blame, really, but our own minds, we were fed lies and false hopes of freedom and unconditional love that we deserve yet we can't have.

they forced us to believe we have a choice by giving us the freedom to pick one of their offered options.
they muffled our thoughts with rags woven with threads of fear and love of control and power.

they made us superficial.
a teenager's most need is acceptance, is to look good, weight good. act like you should.
that's what they say.

and now it's just sad,
to see all those flowers rushed to blossom into something their not.

rushed into releasing their scent even when they're not ready yet.

we're so consumed in proving we're worth it. that we're good enough for people who might not care.
they want us to drawn in sadness.
so we can't see how beautiful this world we live in.

we can no longer enjoy the simplest pleasures without worries.
Life isn't about this. it's shouldn't be.
