you can't possibly know

we are born and then we are taught many different things, things I can't even count to begin with.
and then we grow, and still we learn along the way, some of the things we learn are useful and there are things that teaches us lessons, changes us.
no one teaches us how to change, but we do.
whether we like it or not, we do.
Sometimes these changes are good, you quit a bad habit, you get rid of toxic people, eliminate them from your life, you start hitting the gym or eating in a healthy way, and sometimes it's the other way around.
But that's not the kind of changes I'm talking about.
I'm talking about change as a natural process, the way day merges into night, transforming the clear blue sky into a black carpet with dots of light all over.
how seasons change, how summer is so vibrant and green, how it fades away into a dull cool form, where the trees lose their ornament, but then it withdraws and turns into a cold hearted weather, with liquid nitrogen running throw its veins instead of warm blood. Until it finally flourishes into a blossoming spring, and it goes on and on, nonstop....
I'm talking about substantial change, where you feel your heart beating a different rhythm, when you can literally sense it, how a certain thing stops giving you the joy it did before, how certain things stop making you ache like they did before.
a change of heart.
this kind of change happens gradually, you're not aware of it until you wake up on a Sunday morning feeling like a new person, it's like you've shed your own skin and became someone else.
you look at your reflection, and somehow that person isn't you.
it's like you're no longer the person you were yesterday, as if it happened overnight.
it's not only change that could hunt us, but the confusion that follows.
and the funny thing is, that you can't possibly know how to stop it, or to control it, or whether you should resist it or let it flow through you.
whether it was because of people, or something you went through, or if it was simply enough because you don't like who you are anymore.
no one can help you with this, and maybe that's how it should be.
it's your own battle, don't let someone lead the way, although a helping hand would be appreciated, to help you accept the change that you're going through, to embrace it, and to accept you as you are.
the old you, and the new one.
